Representatives of the Seventh Force really enjoyed the panoramic flights over Sarajevo. Although some were hesitant to venture on this little adventure, the kind instructors of the Flying School assured them that it would be an unforgettable experience. And it was.
It was really fantastic. The adrenaline was high, I enjoyed every moment and I can say that this is one of the best experiences so far, said Željka Tubić, a journalist from Radio Antena Sarajevo, who was one of the few ladies who dared to ride a gyrocopter.
The flying school in Sarajevo came to life after 25 years, and is the result of the work of members of the Sarajevo Aeroclub who wanted to enable people to realize their youthful dreams.
The school includes flying on airplanes and gliders, then flying with gyrocopters, information flights, and one-day Pilot Day programs.
Younger people usually apply for the Flying School, but the age is not the limit, said Irfan Habibović, head of the training department of the SBA Flying School.
The first lesson involves getting acquainted with the basic elements of airplane, followed by classroom work, where it is necessary to master the theory of nine subjects.
The first adrenaline comes with the first flight, because flying with an instructor is usually not interesting, Habibović added.
In order for a student to qualify for the permit exam, it is necessary to have 50 hours of flying. Habibović added that, in addition to entertainment programs, the School has a more serious mission, and that is to maintain B&H aviation through quality training.
